Local 800 is the Wyoming Chapter of the International Union of Operating Engineers. We have been representing residents of Wyoming since August 1940. The original charter was issued in Casper, Wyoming, and now the Union Hall is located just five miles north in Bar Nunn. Local 800 represents skilled professionals and apprentices in the construction, mining, repair, railroad industry and building maintenance industries.

The IUOE is a progressive, diversified trade union that primarily represents operating engineers who work as heavy equipment operators and mechanics in the construction industry, and stationary engineers who work in operations and maintenance in building and industrial complexes.

As a chapter of the IUOE, Local 800 is committed to this mission of representation. From ensuring protections of prevailing wages on public projects, to alleviating healthcare costs through coalition building, to improving our contractors’ competitiveness, IUOE has and will continue to be tirelessly dedicated to the common interests of our members.
